In Ireland, priests and nuns stole thousands of babies from their mother’s arms. The reason? They claimed it was a sin to have had them without being married.
Once stolen, they claimed the children were “orphans” and forced them into “Industrial schools” which were run by catholic orders and financed by the State.
Their motive? To receive funding for each child emitted.
