President Trump's nomination of Christopher Wray to be FBI director is an opportunity to debate the future of the FBI. We hope the new FBI director is aggressive and innovative, and is a reformer.

That needs to be the point of view of the Senate in evaluating whether Mr. Wray is appropriate to be FBI director. We don't need the same old establishment running the FBI; it needs cleaning up.
