On Thursday, every single member of the U.S. Senate came together in Washington, D.C., to sign the same letter. However, when you see who it

was addressed to, you won’t believe your eyes. It isn’t easy to get politicians from opposite sides of the aisle to agree on much of anything,

and since Donald Trump became president, that task has grown exponentially harder. Democrats, still fuming over Hillary Clinton’s devastating

loss, seem feverishly intent on opposing President Trump and the Republican agenda at all costs, even when the issue at hand has bipartisan

appeal. Just look at the way the left opposed the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court when a decade prior they approved him

to the Appeals Court without a single issue.

Considering the Democratic Party’s history during the Trump administration’s first 100 days, it’s shocking to hear that all 100 U.S. Senators

have finally agreed on something and come together to sign the same letter. All 100 U.S. senators signed a letter Thursday asking United

Nations Secretary General António Guterres to ensure that Israel receives fair and equal treatment at the world body, which the lawmakers said

has advanced an “anti-Israel agenda.” The letter, written by Sens. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) and Chris Coons (D., Del.) and signed by every

member of the Senate, insisted that the U.N.’s treatment of the Jewish state is “unacceptable” and must be addressed. [Source: Free Beacon]

“Through words and actions, we urge you to ensure that Israel is treated neither better nor worse than any other U.N. member in good

standing,” the letter states. “We are deeply committed to international leadership and to advancing respect for human rights. But continued

targeting of Israel by the U.N. Human Rights Council and other U.N. entities is unacceptable.”

A letter penned by Sens. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) and Chris Coons (D., Del.) and signed by every member of the Senate asks United Nations

Secretary General António Guterres to ensure that Israel receives fair and equal treatment.

Indeed, the U.N. does not have the best track record when it comes to the body’s decisions regarding human rights. Case in point: Saudi

Arabia, which does not even allow women to drive cars, was elected to serve on the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women, a body “dedicated

to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women,” earlier this month.

President Donald Trump has ushered in a new era of support for our closest ally, which is a welcome change after eight long years of Barack

Obama working to destroy our relationship with Israel. Likewise, we are seeing a reformed stance on our dealings with the United Nations. For

too long, the United States has allowed the U.N. to grow more and more progressive while less and less productive, meanwhile providing the

majority of the funding. Those days are now over.
