Petro Poroshenko has launched a heavy offensive against the Luhansk People's Republic. The fighting began yesterday with NovoRussia warning that the attack was inevitable. The Battle ragged on through the night with both sides suffering heavy losses.
In other news Israel has struck Hamas positions in Gaza's southern border with Tank fire.
