Emergency personnel descended upon Shawnee Park Thursday afternoon after a shooting with multiple victims, a Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman said.

Several people reported the shootings in the vicinity of 4501 W. Broadway beginning at 1:51 p.m., according to a MetroSafe dispatcher.

The victims' conditions and the whereabouts of the gunman or gunmen are unknown.

On a typical Thanksgiving, Shawnee Park is filled with children and their parents for the Juice Bowl, a series of youth football games.
