Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, is fascinated with “the universality of the Church of Rome, as a global institution.” He explains that, “When you are Catholic, you can go for mass all over the world.”

“The universal Church herself is an important model of a global institution,” Blair said. The global nature of Catholicism has Blair’s attention. He is himself a globalist and is currently the peace envoy to the Middle East for the United Nations. But Blair’s own globalism is now aligned with Roman Catholic style globalism.

Tony Blair sees the Catholic Church as global institution uniquely position to help build and guide the new world order. In fact, Blair supports the pope’s teaching that God should take a “central place in society, politics, and economics.”

Papal intentions according to Bible prophecy are to establish global worship and enforce it using the nation states of the world. As a former national leader of Great Britain, Blair would be in a position to assist the Catholic Church in pursuing her geopolitical religious power. For instance, Blair feels certain that the Catholic Church has a “central role in the changes of society, and that religion must have a place in the public debate.” He sees political leaders on one side of the table and church leaders (meaning Catholic Church leaders) on the other.

A Baptist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, or Anglican could have the same connectedness to other members of these communions, but the Catholic Church places unwarranted connectedness to the mass. Blair’s religious commitments and public profile help to promote the religious global influence of the Catholic Church. Given prophetic future of Rome, Tony Blair may play an important role.
