You’ve probably heard by now that the latest jobs report released Friday was downright dismal — some calling it a “disaster.” Though the unemployment rate sounds like a low 5.1 percent, the number of Americans out of the labor force altogether is at a record high. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports a record 94,610,000 people (ages 16 and over) were not in the labor force in September. In other words, these folks were neither employed, nor had made efforts to find work in the prior four weeks.

Specific Democrat voter strongholds likewise didn’t fare well. The BLS reported a record 56,647,000 women are not in the labor force. Meanwhile, the black unemployment rate remained much higher than the national average at 9.2 percent, down from August’s 9.5 percent. And among the most striking statistics is the unemployment rate among black teens — more than six times higher than the national average, and nearly double the overall teen unemployment rate last month.

But there was one group for whom the latest jobs report brought good news. Anyone want to guess?

For a third month in a row, native-born Americans saw their job numbers tumble while immigrants experience solid gains.

According to the montly Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers just released, “foreign-born” jobs numbers increased by 14,000, while those for “native-born” Americans fell off a cliff, by 262,000.

Over the past three months, the job numbers for native-born have dropped by nearly 1 million, exactly the number of jobs President Obama promised to add when he ran for re-election in 2012.

During that period, jobs for immigrants grew 218,000.

Meanwhile, our administration is insisting we welcome 200,000 additional refugees from the Middle East in the next couple of years. Beyond the security implications, which we’ve discussed on this site previously, the latest jobs report starkly underlines the question of how we will support this large influx of folks, when we can’t even employ masses of people already here. As Breitbart reported last month, since September 11, 2001, the U.S. has resettled about 1.5 million immigrants from Muslim nations. Some 90 percent receive on food stamps, and 70 percent are receiving free healthcare and cash welfare.

So will women and blacks express their frustration over the dismal job situation at the 2016 polls? Clearly, the current administration’s Democrat policies are not working — at least not for most Americans. But they appear to be working for one group — so perhaps Dems will need to refocus their get out the vote efforts there.
