(NaturalNews) At around 1:50 a.m. in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 28, a group of 40 to 50 teens entered a Macon, Georgia, Wal-Mart and proceeded to ransack store shelves and destroy merchandise in an effort, as the group's leader told an employee, to "see how much damage they could cause."

From all reports, the youths involved indeed did cause a great deal of damage. A deputy sheriff's report stated, "The length of the store from front to rear was lined with items which had been shattered, destroyed, turned over and thrown about."

During the melee, a store security cam recorded some of the youths as they pulled a customer from a wheelchair and threw him to the ground.

A Bibb County Public Information Officer said, "This is the first I've ever even heard of anything like this occurring in Macon in all my years of law enforcement."

It's hard to imagine what would motivate a group of teens to engage in such criminally destructive behavior, especially since the intent was apparently not to loot or steal merchandise, but simply to destroy store goods and wreak havoc. This type of chaotic behavior makes one wonder just what has happened to the youth of America.

And in the interest of political correctness, let's ignore for a moment that these were all black kids. Let's forget that the majority of them come from families who most likely vote Democratic -- although many of these kids are presumably too young to vote, anyway (I would also guess that none of these kids give a damn about politics in the first place -- or anything else, for that matter).

And let's not dwell on the fact that, if Obama "had a son, he'd look like" the ringleader of the group, 17-year-old Kharron Green.

I don't want to make race the central issue of this rant. However, it does seem rather ironic to me that the Democrats and President Obama, who spend so much time and energy paying lip service to the idea that they are champions of the African American community, have been largely responsible for the further disenfranchisement of this very demographic, while much of that community continues to blindly support the Liberal agenda.

That being said, the one major point I would like to make regarding race is that the Liberals have failed the black community, along with the rest of America's citizens, and the fact that African Americans were already among the lower income bracket, in general, before Obama took office simply means that they have been among the hardest hit by unemployment (ignore the rigged figures that claim unemployment is low -- the truth is otherwise), bad education and the now-pervasive belief that the government will take care of everything.

The sad reality is that American youth -- black, white, brown or otherwise -- now all seem to sense that they have no future whatsoever. Hence the pointless and destructive actions of kids like the ones who trashed the Macon Wal-Mart.

This is not an isolated incident. Take for instance the unprovoked rioting that took place in Louisville, Kentucky, in March of last year, when a group of 200 teens began robbing and assaulting people and businesses in the area, attacking citizens including a 13-year-old girl and a man who tried to rescue her. Several people were hospitalized; few were arrested. This story received very little attention.

No wonder so many law-abiding Americans are determined to exercise their Second Amendment rights.

Although there is no excuse for such behavior, it's not too surprising to see things like this happening in a country which seems to have lost its direction, its moral compass, its perception of a future worth working towards.

And somehow, perhaps the most ironic thing of all is that the same Macon Wal-Mart that these kids so brazenly trashed might have represented one of the few businesses in their community that would have been able to give them a job -- a low-paying one, but a job, nonetheless. That is, of course, if these kids will ever actually go out looking for a job -- something that America hardly encourages them to do these days.
