What is faith?

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."--Hebrews 11:1

Here the definition of faith is explained. It is hard for most people to have true faith; for it is something that we can not see. We find ourselves putting more trust in people which we can see, than in our Lord and Saviour which is the creator of all that is seen, unseen, heaven, earth and all that in them is. Some people even try to disprove all his wonderful works or give "luck" the praise. We have men trying to prove that there is no God; but when we read His word, we know "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."--Hebrews 11:3 In that we know 1. that although unseen, our Creator is real and 2. he does perform miracles and things that others can not do. Faith can be a struggle when satan tries to tempt us, and it seems the world is crashing down on us. However, if we remain loyal we will inherit the kingdom of heaven. I can only continue to pray to have unwavering faith.
