The Bible predicts a global religion will be developed in the last days Revelation 13:8. In order to accomplish this, there has to be a global political and economic order to enforce it. Though a global religion does not get much media attention, it is nevertheless coming closer to reality.

Ecumenical and “Interfaith” conferences and meetings are continually being held with increasing frequency all over the globe. The “‘interfaith movement’ is being promoted by NGOs, “charitable foundations” and top politicians and it is being backed by big money all over the planet.”’

Fifty (50) U.S. Churches read from the Quran during worship services on Sunday, June 26 in yet another effort to increase respect between religions. The churches included the National Cathedral in Washington, DC and churches in 26 other U.S. states. Reading from the Quran was intended to show respect for Islam.

The idea was promoted by Interfaith Alliance and Human Rights First. The theme of the event was “Faith Shared: Uniting in Prayer and Understanding.”

Some of the other churches involved in the event were Christ Church in New York City, All Saints Church in Pasadena, California, Park Hill Congregational in Denver, Colorado, Hillview United Methodist in Boise, Idaho, First United Lutheran in San Francisco, California, St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The website, Human Rights First, says, “At its core, this project will bring together Christian, Jewish and Muslim clergy to read from and hear from each other’s sacred texts. In doing so, they will serve as a model for respect and cooperation and create a concrete opportunity to build and strengthen working ties between and among faith communities moving forward.”

Some of the most prominent religious leaders are involved in promoting the interfaith movement. Benedict XVI held a major interfaith event when he visited the John Paul II Cultural Center in Washington, DC in 2008. The meeting involved Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims and representatives of other religions.

Brian McLaren, one of the top leaders of the emerging church movement, actually celebrated Ramadan.

Rick Warren, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, has been a guest speaker at the national conference of the Islamic Society of North America.

Some time ago, a virtual “who’s who” of evangelical Christian leaders that included Rick Warren, Robert Schuler, Brian McLaren, Richard Cizik and Bill Hybels all signed a letter to the Islamic community that was entitled “Loving God and Neighbor Together.” This letter made it abundantly clear that these Christians leaders consider Allah and the Christian God to be the same entity.

According to the Bible, the Vatican intends to dominate the new global religion. “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him.” Revelation 13:8.
