145,000 People in Forced Quarantine in Liberia

The police and military acting on their president’s orders sealed off 50,000 people in Liberia, because of Ebola, according to the AP

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf imposing a nighttime curfew and ordering “quarantines” of West Point and Dolo Town.

West Point, Monrovia, home to approximately 75,000 people is quarantined.

Dolo Town with an estimated population of over 20,000 inhabitants is quarantined.

Ebola is only spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of sick people experiencing symptoms. Those at greatest risk are doctors and nurses and people who handle the dead.
