Gnosticism and its influence on the church part 4.
The Gnostics were basically antinomian, which means they were opposed to keeping the Law of God. Some early Gnostic sects were accused of rejecting part of the Mosaic Law, while others (such as Marcion) rejected the entire Old Testament. Their rejection was based on their belief that the Gospel message was in opposition to the Law of God.
